Hickory Park

Off S Lake Avenue and Parkview Drive

Very few communities have such a large beautiful park within their borders. This 10-acre park features two pavilions, a playground, two baseball fields, bathrooms and basketball courts. Hickory Park has been the scene of countless carnivals, picnics, celebrations, ball games, and the annual Bergen Park Day. A memorial rock with plaque and flag pole greets visitors and reminds us of the men and women of our community who have sacrificed their lives for their country.

Zuber Park

Corner of S Lake Avenue and Rochester Street

Zuber Park is a pocket park that honors the memory of Benjamin Zuber, a Village Trustee from 1971 to 1976 and Mayor from 1976 to 1987.

Ward Park

Corner of Rochester Street and Buffalo Road

Our newest park was dedicated on June 21, 2011. The park is named in honor of the Ward family, influential in the development of Bergen -- once known as Wardville -- and the whole Rochester area.

Carpenter Park

S Lake Avenue, adjacent to the railroad tracks

Recently renovated, Carpenter Park has a long history. The fountain in the park is reminiscent of the early 1900's when the park held a statue of a little boy holding an umbrella over his head. Originally named Burrows Park, the park was enlarged and renamed Carpenter Park in 1910 with the donation of land from the Carpenter Family. The park's location makes it a perfect place to relax and watch the trains go by.

Hartland Park

Hartland Sub-Division, behind Winterberry & Canterbury

Hartland Park is located between the DPW building and the Hartland housing development, and is comprised of 7 acres of land. The park is home to the Bergen Disc Golf Course, and is used for sledding in the winter months. It is also home to the Sage Pavilion, a rustic all-season facility with modern amenities, the perfect place to host your next event. Visit our Sage Pavilion page for all the details.
