VILLAGE BOARD of TRUSTEES
Regular Meeting Minutes
October 26, 2005


The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to Order by Mayor Wayne Bailey at 7:03 p.m. with the following present:
Trustee Robert Bausch – aye
Trustee Anna Marie Barclay – aye
Trustee Virginia Adams – aye
Trustee Paul Cooper – aye

Also present were Linda Austin, Joe Chimino, Dale Leiter, Robert Smith, Holden D.P. Miller and Craig Holland.


APPROVAL OF BILLS
A motion to approve the bills was made by Trustee Paul Cooper and seconded by Trustee Anna Marie Barclay. The motion carried by the following vote:
Trustee Robert Bausch – aye
Trustee Anna Marie Barclay – aye
Trustee Virginia Adams – aye
Trustee Paul Cooper – aye


APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 12, 2005 was made by Trustee Anna Marie Barclay and seconded by Trustee Paul Cooper. The motion carried by the following vote:

Trustee Anna Marie Barclay – aye
Trustee Virginia Adams – aye
Trustee Paul Cooper – aye


DPW SUPERVISOR’S REPORT
A motion to accept the oral report of the DPW Supervisor was made by Trustee Virginia Adams and seconded by Trustee Anna Marie Barclay. The motion carried by the following vote:
Trustee Robert Bausch – aye
Trustee Anna Marie Barclay – aye
Trustee Virginia Adams – aye
Trustee Paul Cooper – aye

Highlights:

Sewer plant 88,000 gal/day

DC inventer ordered $750.00

New entrance door for DPW

Josh is in weekend rotation for sewer monitoring

Josh and Nick school is a 4 year course

Pole inventory 85 % complete

Infra red testing completed; found 10 spots in whole system and only labor to be charged to the Village of Bergen

DPW winterize equipment; repair salter

Purchased LTS-3 undercoater to spray on the new trucks; good for 2 years

Poured 1,075 sq/ft of sidewalks for the year

No problems at the park; lock fixed

HISTORIAN’S REPORT

A motion to accept the Historian’s written report was made by Trustee Robert Bausch and seconded by Trustee Paul Cooper. The motion carried unanimously.


MAYOR’S REPORT

The Mayor wanted to thank Joe Chimino and his DPW team for the work they did for Concerts in the Park.

Leon Katzen received $5,000.00 for the cell tower.

Monroe County Water – easement through Carpenter Park. Rich Curtis answered that each group, the Village or Monroe County Water could use condemnation; thus, a draw. Village Board against easement.

Procurement Policy was given to Joe Chimino for review and changes, if any.

No formal reply from Budvale as of date.


NEW BUSINESS

1.
A motion to approve the carry-over sick and vacation time for union employees was made by Trustee Anna Marie Barclay and seconded by Trustee Robert Bausch. The motion carried unanimously.
2.
$30,000 in lieu of taxes from Electric to General – tabled
3.

The Board meeting schedule for November and December will be as follows:

Wednesday, December 14
Wednesday, December 28


EXECUTIVE SESSION
A motion was made by Trustee Anna Marie Barclay and seconded by Trustee Paul Cooper to enter Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. The motion carried by the following vote:

Trustee Anna Marie Barclay-aye
Trustee Wayne Bailey-aye
Trustee Virginia Adams – aye

Executive Session was entered at 8:04 p.m.

A motion was made by Trustee Robert Bausch and seconded by Trustee Paul Cooper to exit Executive Session. The motion carried by the following vote:
Trustee Robert Bausch-aye
Trustee Anna Marie Barclay-aye
Trustee Wayne Bailey-aye
Trustee Virginia Adams – aye

Executive Session was exited at 9:02 p.m.

A motion to adjourn was made by Trustee Virginia Adams and seconded by Trustee Anna Marie Barclay. The motion carried by the following vote:
