NEW ELECTRIC SERVICE
Information Sheet


Before providing electric service, the Village of Bergen will require the following:

1. A valid electric permit from the Code Enforcement Officer (585-494-1513).
   
   
2. A business card or letterhead from the electrician dropped off, faxed or mailed to the Village of Bergen Code Enforcement Officer.
   
   
3. A trench inspection by the Village electric department. Contact the Department of Public Works at 585-494-1048 to arrange an inspection.
   
   
4. An electrical inspection by either the Board of Fire Underwriters or other electrical inspector acceptable to the Village.
   
   
5. New service locations: The account information including deposit must be set up with the Village of Bergen electrical billing office (585-494-1513).
   
   
6. Approval of exterior distribution plans and meter location by the electric department (585-494-1048).
