Message from the Mayor

The goal of the Village of Bergen is to provide quality services, programs and facilities in the most cost-effective and efficient manner, to preserve Village history and tradition, and to foster a partnership with all members of the community.  Through the participation of citizens in our government and our partnerships with the business community, we will work together to keep Bergen a great place to live.

We've recently updated our website to better communicate with the public. It is our hope that Bergen residents, as well as future residents and/or businesses, will find it useful. Our goal is to make answers to all your questions about local government and our community available to you 24/7.  We welcome your comments and suggestions to help us achieve that objective.  Please drop me a note at mayor@villageofbergen.com.

I believe good communication is essential if we are to properly serve the public, and this website demonstrates our commitment to that principle. But even a great website can't beat personal contact. The Village Board and I are committed to listening to the community and providing opportunities for you to be heard.  One opportunity is the Village Board meetings, held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month.  There is time reserved in the agenda near the start of every meeting to allow residents to address the Board.  And each of us is more than willing to meet with you one-on-one to answer your questions and listen to your concerns, comments and suggestions.  Your feedback will help us to better represent you -- let us hear from you!
